I caught up with Isaac Hadden to talk about late-night festival picks, walk-out songs, and the tracks that define his life on the road. Check out the mini-interview below!

Q: What’s the song that always makes you think of that one specific, legendary festival sunrise where everyone was exhausted but no one wanted to leave?

"Every Day is a Winding Road by Sheryl Crow. One night at a fest, after all the music was over, we had this wicked bluegrass pick circle that lasted until the sun was well up into the sky. We played all kinds of stuff. I don't remember most of it, but I remember getting particularly... enthusiastic on this one, and I've played it ever since."

Q: What's the one song you’d put on if you were trying to politely clear out a party that has gone on way too long?

"Probably something along the lines of Cecil Taylor or Albert Ayler. The more out-there, the better. Whoever is left in the room after one of those records is a real one."

Q: If you were a pro wrestler, what’s the walk-out song you’d use to strike absolute fear into the hearts of your enemies?

"Goin' Out West by Tom Waits."

Q: What was the song you used to blast in your bedroom as a teenager while pretending you were the star of a very dramatic, slightly angsty 90s movie?

"Nutshell by Alice in Chains. That one always hits."
